My Client is seeking a mission-focused VP of Government Business Development with proven experience winning new healthcare-related business opportunities within the Defense Health Agency, Department of Health and Human Services, and other relevant U.S. Federal Government agencies. This role is responsible for driving the full lifecycle of business development activities from identification to securing the business. Successful candidates will have a robust government network (DHA, HHS) with proven business development experience contracting with federal agencies.
Due to the fast-paced environment, you’ll be expected to make decisions independently by weighing many needs and priorities. The role and its surrounding organization aren’t rigidly defined; successful candidates will excel in a creative, fast-paced, results-oriented environment. We are looking for mission-driven teammates who can jump into any situation with enthusiasm.
Responsibilities:
Project brand within the healthcare market space and beyond.
Educate and promote prospects on use cases for our clinical and operational awareness solutions.
Identify, qualify, pursue, and close a portfolio of opportunities that fit company capabilities and support the account plan and financial objectives.
Develop and execute a win strategy for all qualified opportunities.
Provide full-lifecycle deal leadership, working collaboratively with business and technical leaders, product management, client delivery, finance, proposal managers, teaming partners, and others.
Lead strategy for gathering, interpreting, and meeting customer requirements.
Lead partnering/teaming strategy and engagement throughout the business development, capture, proposal lifecycles, and transition to client delivery.
Demonstrate knowledge of agency acquisition practices for healthcare solutions, as well as the competitive landscape.
Demonstrate deep understanding and experience with federal healthcare contracting.
Develop a 12-36 month pipeline with both close-in and multi-year opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required.
Proven record of selling groundbreaking healthcare solutions to the federal government.
10+ years’ experience driving business development for healthcare technology solutions to the DHA, HHS/CMS, or similar government healthcare agencies.
Established relationships with relevant DHA and HHS/CMS.
A desire to learn, be proactive, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate technical/business acumen.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact, engage, and advocate with senior leadership.
Ability and desire to work collaboratively and across organizational functions and levels to further company goals.
Highly organized with the ability to track activities, opportunities, and contacts.
Understanding and interest in AI/ML technologies
