As the Vice President of Operations you will perform high level operational responsibilities including large project oversight, large client transitions, large project management, and divisional management fill-in. While also having specific projects assigned to support our divisions and departments to improve customer satisfaction, improve quality, and improve production efficiencies and margins. Vice President, Operations Responsibilities
Manage direct reports which includes: assignment and monitoring of work, adherence to company policy and procedures (including attendance), approving time off, training, conducting performance reviews timely and providing necessary mentoring and coaching
Along with the EVP and President, stand in at the divisions when a Divisional Vice President post is not filled. Act in that position until replacement is hired and trained
Oversee (PM / Estimating responsibilities) unique large projects at the company that span multiple divisions, multiple disciplines of work scope (Creative, CSS, Producer, PM, Production, etc.) or both
Review estimates for large projects (over $500,000) for completeness and accuracy as necessary
Assist divisions on major RFP responses, pricing templates and incentives
Assist/oversee onboarding of large clients into divisions
Update and implement estimating templates for new on-boarded MSA clients
Oversee and review estimating templates across all divisions to ensure correct labor rates and costs rates, Quote Adjustment and mark-ups are applied, ensuring Supervision Allocation is applied where appropriate
Develop and maintain data base of competitor pricing models to better position Derse to win new opportunities
Supervise assigned divisional personnel on a temporary basis. Must be able to effectively lead, delegate, monitor progress, and hold people accountable for results.
Requirements Vice President, Operations Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field with minimum 7 years of direct management experience required.
Account management and/or sales experience supporting trade shows & event programs required.
This position must reside within the Midwest region.
Ability to travel as needed for client obligations.
Highly organized, flexible, and ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
