Business Development Representative

Position: Business Development Manager (BDM)
Reports to: Visionary, Chief Commercial Officer
Purpose: To provide existing and new customers with detailed information on services offered by the company to capture and increase sales.
Responsibility:
Schedule appointments with new or assigned customers to review services that can be provided by the company.
Plan and conduct sales presentations to customers with scheduled follow-up calls.
Be the liaison between the company and key customers by providing vital information as to new products, services, pricing and or customer orders.
Develop key referral relationships in the local territory to help with lead generation.
Create new company opportunities through new targeted accounts or significant new business from assigned customers.
Work with customers on the explanation of pricing and PO's.
Maintain a professional attitude representing the company in a positive manor in adverse situations with the customer.
Attend and represent the company as required at trade shows, events and meetings.
Arrange Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's) between the company and customers monitoring them to make sure both parties concerns are addressed.
Enter customer information into the company CRM system as required after each sales call, phone call, or meeting with the customer.
Follow-up on quotes with a target customer in a timely manner.
Follow up on trade show, company, or network supplied leads within one week of receipt.
Follow up with customers, prospects and suspects utilizing CRM for data management and tracking.
Authority: Prioritize and schedule customer visits.
Represent the company at customers visits and outside events.
Responsibly entertain clients at business-related events - e.g. coffees, lunches and dinners.
Responsibly schedule travel and hotel accommodations as required.
Complete expense reports according to company policy in a timely manner.
Performance Measures: Meet monthly metrics established by the Sales leader.
Meet sales revenue plan for Key Accounts and new business.
Identify at least 12 new target customers per month.
Complete a call report after each company visit within 5 days and document in CRM.
Complete a trip request plan, including estimated costs, and have it approved by the Sales Leader ~30 days prior to travel.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business.
Minimum 3-5 years working sales experience.
Familiar with Business-to-Business sales.
Good driving record.
Understand and able to use Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM programs.
Legally able to be employed in the United States.
Self-motivated and able to manage a lot of different activities successfully.
Ability to network successfully and build relationships.
Essential Physical / Cognitive Job Functions:
• Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location or in the territory.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to interact with employees and customers in an appropriate, professional manner.
This is an exempt salaried position.
