Key Account Manager
Role Summary

Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key customers, fostering strong relationships, and maximizing revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in account management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with all functions of the company. This position is located in Sacramento, California.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, serving as the primary point of contact for all account-related matters.
Understand the customers' business objectives and challenges, and proactively identify opportunities to add value and drive growth.
Take a hands-on approach to driving results and customer service including active participation with sales, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
Create and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue from key accounts.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Monitor and analyze account performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients in a timely and professional manner.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments that may impact client accounts.
Prepare regular reports and updates for management on the status of key accounts and sales activities.
Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of experience as a sales or key account leader, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in key account management or a similar role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal teams.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, database management, spreadsheet creation, email, internet.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees the daily workflow of the company’s largest customers.
Provides constructive and timely feedback to improve performance to various stakeholders.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Compensation
Salary range = $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
Position qualifies for full-time benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k.
Travel Required
Travel between company facilities within the Sacramento, CA area.
May be required to attend training and industry events as directed by supervisor.
Travel to customer locations or headquarters.
Work Location and Reporting Relationship
This position requires the candidate to be on site in Sacramento, CA daily.
Work from home or remote work is not available for this position.
This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.
