Logistics Senior Sales Engineer

Chicago, IL, United States

Location: US Remote, Alpharetta, GA preferred

Employee Level: Individual Contributor

Career Level: Senior-level

What You Need: Minimum of 5 years of logistics experience, including Transportation and/or short truck oil and gas

Requires strong written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative in nature with a strong desire to learn independently

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment

Petroleum Marketing, C-Store and/or logistics experience is a plus

The Opportunity:

The Senior Sales Engineering works closely with Petroleum Marketers and C-Store companies to demonstrate PDI solutions. This includes pre-demo discovery to learn about how each company currently utilizes software and processes, as well as responding to requests for proposals/information (RFP/RFI). Sales engineers use that information to determine which PDI solutions to demonstrate.

These are remote positions that report to the VP, Sales Engineering - but we also have office locations around the country if you'd prefer to work onsite.

What You’ll Do: Collaborate with sales team to perform pre-demo discovery with prospect/current customers on software and process needs

Prepare and deliver software presentations/demonstrations explaining the benefits of PDI products/services to customers and prospective customers

Provide sales support for software and industry related questions that arise in the sales cycle

Document any software gaps found during the demonstration process

Partner with product management to assist in driving functionality needed in our solutions, based on industry and customer feedback

Answer requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for information (RFI)

Travel when needed
