Receptionist

Our client is seeking an experienced and professional Receptionist to join our team in New York City. This individual is responsible for providing exceptional front desk service as the initial point of contact, as well as overseeing day-to-day administrative functions. This role is to be handled with the utmost discretion at all times, understanding and practicing confidentiality and wise judgement. Their direct report will be the Executive Assistant to the Founder, CEO and CIO.
Pay rate when temp: $28-$32
Salary if/when perm: 65-75k
Responsibilities:
Greet visitors, clients, employees in a friendly and professional manner
Answer reception phone, serve refreshments, tend to guest closet
Register visitor access
Maintain all conference rooms
Manage front desk area and lobby to ensure a neat and welcoming environment
Access to cameras to all doors on 20 for card access
Receive and distribute mail, packages and deliveries
Tend to Deck furniture and plants
Firmwide Meeting-every Monday 8:30am: Provide remote dial in, when requested
Manage daily Out of Office Calendar
Inventory supplies and place orders when needed: first aide, bathroom, kitchen, conference rooms, caf, printer areas
Order lunch for senior executives and staff
Manage every Friday firm breakfast
Errands
Assist CEOs Executive Assistant with events
Update deal binders
Global holiday card mailing
Liaise with building management to coordinate repairs, maintenance, freight, vendor services, COIs, contracts
Annually proof Business Continuity Plan
Update seating chart, cabinet assignments, floorplan
Distribute enrollment instructions for Citi Bike & Hudson Commons bicycle storage access
Office Tour to new hires
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is a plus
Minimum 3-5 years of combined receptionist and administrative skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to multi-task
Prior experience in the financial services industry is a plus
