What you will be doing
This robust role provides support and guidance to internal stakeholders and the Corporate Human Resources team. You will be engaged in a variety of responsibilities including benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee engagement and culture, HRIS management, compliance, recruiting, employee communications, and day to day HR support. You will play an important role in HR’s strategic goals, initiatives, and projects to continuously improve processes and programs, enhance the employee experience, and foster MBO’s culture.
Now that we got your attention, here is more of what this role does on a day-to-day basis: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including facilitating orientation, paperwork completion, and introduction to company policies and procedures ensuring a seamless integration into the company.
Coordinate employee separations, conduct exit interviews, manage offboarding processes and procedures and ensure a smooth offboarding experience.
Serve as an initial point of contact for HR and Facility related inquiries including answering mid to complex level questions surrounding HR programs and legal compliance in all 50 states
Manage performance program including communication, training, system setup and reporting.
Administer benefit programs including serving as initial contact for benefits plan questions, coordinating and leading open enrollment, and processing benefit changes and assisting with reporting and trend analysis.
Manage HR systems and platforms including data integrity, workflows, user administration and system training that support the employment lifecycle (recruiting, payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, reporting, etc.).
Collect and analyze HR data, prepare reports on key HR metrics, and provide insights and recommendations.
Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, HRIS data and performance-related documentation.
Consult, educate, and coach internal partners providing mid to complex-level Human Resources guidance for the employee life cycle and Human Resources programs (i.e. enrollment, benefits, leave of absence, termination) while maintaining compliance with United States federal, state, and local employment laws.
Plan and implement HR events and employee engagement & recognition initiatives, such as virtual social events, wellness challenges, employee affinity groups, micro-experiences, recognition programs and retention initiatives.
Lead the Employee Engagement Committee and manage committee recommended projects for employee engagement and retention.
Full-cycle recruitment which including posting job openings, sourcing, and screening candidates, managing multiple pipelines, scheduling interviews, tracking manager feedback, administering assessments, composing offer letters, and executing background checks.
Partner with HR team members in developing and updating HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and objectives and in compliance with employment laws and industry best practices.
Provide regular updates regarding changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Responsible for HR recordkeeping and compliance reporting requirements.
What you need to stand out Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Human Resources as a Sr Generalist/HR Business Partner
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred
Knowledge of Human Resources processes, procedures and federal, state, and local employment and payroll regulations
Benefits administration and recruiting experience required
Employee engagement program management experience including planning, presentation, and implementation of successful programs
Experience and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Experience with HRIS, performance management, leave management, help desk ticketing and org chart platforms and tools is required, preferably experience using the following: Tiny Pulse, 7Geese, PurelyHR, Lucid Charts, Smartsheet, ADP and JIRA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels
Sense of urgency and responsiveness when interacting with employees, vendors, and stakeholders.
Effective in a high volume, changing priority environment in responding to employee life cycle activities and HR initiatives
Exceptional critical thinking with a demonstrated ability to connect the dots and deliver results.
Independent thinking and the ability to take ownership to deliver desired outcome.
