Business Development Manager Key Role:

Drive strategy, planning, and execution in pursuit of outdoor recreation opportunities for state and federal government agencies. Work with program leadership to determine business development strategies and priorities and own the planning activities to drive new business growth in strategic markets. Leverage business insights, market trends, and industry experience to help shape and build the business development culture for the team, maintaining CRM and managing prospective client engagement, defining a modern capture approach and pipeline for growth, and collaborating with colleagues from operations, product, and development throughout the sales lifecycle. Prepare and lead prospective client demonstrations, prepare content and presentations, and deliver client briefings. Monitor and assess competitive and market trends, create and implement processes to support business growth, track and manage qualified prospects in the sales pipeline, shape and manage capture initiatives, and serve as the key driver for the end-to-end sales process. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a business development manager, capture lead, sales manager, or in outdoor recreation and state contracting

Experience with generating multi-million dollar revenue with state government agencies

Experience with building state agency-client relationships

Experience with owning the business development process, setting and delivering against KPIs, and influencing business growth

Experience with gathering requirements, identifying and assessing feature and functionality gaps, and making enhancement recommendations based on learnings and customer input

Experience with recognizing opportunities where the company can provide clients further value and identifying and evaluating risks, expansion of existing relationships, growth of market share, or increased profit

Experience with evaluating and overseeing the execution of near-term, mid-term, and long-term projects

Experience in conducting product demonstrations and helping prospects understand and evaluate software to help solve their park management issues

Experience with shaping results-driven, outcome-based RFPs and contracts that improve win probability and business value

Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge of the software lifecycle and technical delivery process

Ability to inform an annual and multiyear sales forecast, groom a pipeline of prospective client opportunities, manage capture initiatives, and ensure sales quota attainment

Ability to seek new learning opportunities and apply lessons from market research, industry trends, business cases, and industries to inform recommendations that support growth objectives

Ability to be effective within a team environment and as an individual contributor

Ability to operate with little to no supervision and with diverse, vague, or limited details

Ability to demonstrate the value and benefits of outcome-based contracts and solutions that stay consistent with the brand image of the company

Ability to be process-orientated with exceptional commitment to details

Ability to conduct presentations, virtually or in person, to a wide variety of audiences, including high-level executives and clients

Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
