Vice President of Sales

OVERVIEW
This sales position is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet company objectives and for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a minimum of 6-8 years successful and continuous sales experience in the sporting goods and/or outdoor categories related to athletic sports, camping, hiking, fishing, biking lifestyles and related products.
Primary experience should be specific selling to Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy Sports, Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's, Lowe's, Home Depot and other related retailers.
Develops annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectives.
Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with VP of marketing.
Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
Implements approved distribution strategies.
Manages multiple channels selling strategies.
Builds, develops, and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team
Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
