Oakleaf Partnership is partnered with a market leading global law firm in their search for a Payroll Specialist to join their growing function. This will be a fast-paced role working supporting the payroll function in across the US .
Role
The Payroll department calculates, processes, and distributes employee pay, salaries , bonuses and or commissions based on time worked, performance or other relevant factors. Your responsibilities are to ensure that employees receive their pay on time with correct deductions and necessary withholdings, attention to detail is a key trait to this role. You will have the opportunity to be involve with global projects supporting the function across EMEA.
Principal Responsibilities:
Payroll Specialist is assigned to a region: Cali, NY, Texas, Chicago, Corporate, and should be able to process payroll in all states, if say a teammate is out of office, processing payroll bi-weekly.
Processing starts the prior payday in which the Payroll Specialist begins to receive information from various internal and external organizations to begin preparing for the next payroll cycle.-· This information is batch uploaded into Workforce Now – ADP, to also accommodate, new hires, terms, severance payments, garnishments etc. · Upon confirmation, the team runs final reports to disperse to Cash Management to fund the actual payroll.· Reports also go to Accounts Payable for the GL and insurance purposes for audit. · -Once complete, the finalized reports should be uploaded into internal filing system that we use to maintain payroll files.· -This cycle then repeats every two weeks, and that is majority of this persons role aside from one off questions from employees regarding payroll related concerns, in which they will provide excellent customer service to remediate any concerns and issues.

We are keen to hear from experienced Payroll professionals with ambition and drive. These individuals will need to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate environment.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree
2 years’ experience in a corporate environment
Excellent project management, organization, prioritization, written/verbal communication, and analytical skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Proactive with strong attention to detail
Proficient in Excel
High degree of professionalism and sound judgment with an understanding of when and how to escalate issues
Solution-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team
