We are seeking VP Sales reporting to our General Manager at our Head Office located in Dieppe, NB. As the VP of Sales, you will be responsible to meet all established sales targets and will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Midland. The VP of Sales will work in conjunction with executive management to identify new business opportunities and devise and implement strategies for growth. You will attract, develop, and retain a high-performance team through a robust performance evaluation, semi-annual talent assessment process and continuous employee development planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, direct, and challenge the sales organization to secure growth opportunities to achieve business objectives. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with key executives and decision-makers/influencers in all key customer accounts. Integral part of the executive team; empowering your team members with exceptional leadership and fostering authentic business collaboration.

Provide leadership, support, and direction to the sales team. Lead a high performing team by creating positive employee experiences. Define succession plans for key roles, identify professional development opportunities and execute enrichment activities. Provide timely feedback and active coaching.

Work closely with business leaders to collaborate on sales and lead generation strategies and sales performance analysis. Develop value propositions and pricing strategies for accounts that will provide operational efficiencies. Direct the research of new markets and provide accurate data as input for sales plans and track corporate sales pipeline and performance with CRM software.

Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, analyze competitive landscape, customer behavior, and go to market strategies to uncover new business prospects and mitigate potential risks for sustained competitive advantage.

Deploy and manage resources to implement sales activities within terminals and ensure achievement of objectives. Act as a collaborator between customers, terminal operations, and the departments.

Develop and achieve sales budget and incentive goals. Lead the development of sales training.

Qualifications:

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

10+ years of sales management experience and 5+ years at the executive level, preferably within the transportation industry.

Technical knowledge of the transportation industry, multi-dimensional business acumen, exceptional influencer and communicator.

Ability to present and communicate at various levels of the business.

Passion for growth, strong analytics, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Comfort engaging with large groups, strong persuasion skills, disciplined organizational skills, effective decision making, confidence.
