Our Exclusive Client is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to work ONSITE in Burlingame, California. This is an onsite job but client will consider 4 days onsite / 1 day WFH. Must be located in or around this area.
As an IT Administrator, you will manage your workload independently and take initiative to own tickets and projects to completion with minimal oversight. You will be expected to document, communicate and prioritize your tasks appropriately. The role will include user-facing communication, systems administration, backup review, and retention, as well as project-based work.
What You'll Do
Oversee IT hardware including: all computers, networking equipment, servers, printers, and security equipment, etc.
Administrator of Office 365 • Develop procedures to ensure the whole team have the skills to support the corporate infrastructure including all backend systems and VPN networks • Maintains and updates support information and actions in the IT Ticketing system, including procedural documentation and relevant reports • Installs and/or moves IT equipment including computers, printers, devices and other peripherals
Assists in the evaluation of hardware and software applications • Ensures security and protection of systems to prevent misuse, viruses, etc. and assist with backing up systems as necessary • Ensure limited user access and access permissions on computer systems are imposed and maintained
Provide technical and product support, and assist users with setup (email, browsers, printers, files, etc.)
Facilitate and coordinate user account creation and modification
Ensure systems are patched, maintain network compliance, and report any deviation • Remediate hardware outages, system outages, and issues that could lead to an outage
Interacts with peer groups in support of end-user computer requirements
Must Have Qualifications 5+ years hands-on experience, deploying, managing and troubleshooting technology
Microsoft AD, ESXi, Hyper-V, and similar infrastructure • Active Directory, Group Policy, and File shares
O365
Azure cloud • Enterprise networking, VPN, firewalls and associated infrastructure
Backup methodologies, disaster recovery, validation
Demonstrated understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs
Understanding of cyber security fundamentals
Basic ERP administration
What You'll Be Trained On Administration of SQL server and creation of various business reports
Support Epicor Prophet 21 ERP (Exp in P21 is not necessary)
What You'll Need • Good knowledge of AD infrastructure Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP and SFTP
Excellent diagnoses, troubleshooting, and remediation skills
Configure, maintain, and manage network infrastructure which includes WiFi APs, switching, routing and VPN hardware
Document - create new and update existing
Ability to roll up the sleeve and tackle day to day end-user tickets and requests
Working knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure including but not limited to VMs, Storage, Load Balancing, Firewalling and Identity management schemes.
Expert knowledge of PC and server platforms across a variety of operating systems
Previously worked as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues and team members across IT
Flexibility in terms of workday window to provide support coverage
Ability to learn how to administer MS SQL and create various reports
