What You Will Do
As part of our Workday Federal Practice, you’ll be working with an energized team of advisory professionals who deliver more than just technology. From initial assessments to entire transformations, you’ll deliver Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions equipping organizations with best-in-class enterprise solutions to support our client’s mission and enable transformative growth.
The Workday Lead Consultant will be tasked with ensuring the successful implementation of the Workday Recruiting, Talent, and Learning solutions. The Workday Lead Consultant will provide Workday product and implementation expertise to their engagements. They will work with our clients to understand business requirements and help configure, test, and deploy the Workday solution.
Description
As a Workday Solution Architect, your project assignments and development activities may include:
Participating and leading in all stages of the GH+ Workday methodology for implementing Workday Recruiting, Talent, and Learning solutions, performing the following on client engagements:
Facilitate Discovery and Design sessions to gather and document client business requirements
Configure the Workday solution to meet requirements
Document solutions for the client to reference in the future.
Support the client and data conversion teams in converting legacy data into Workday
Support the integration teams in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions
Assist the client in testing the Workday solution
Transfer Workday system knowledge to the client to enable self-sufficiency and sustainability once in production
Communicate regularly and effectively with the project engagement manager regarding forecasting hours, time reporting, projects risks, and mitigations.
Work with Workday Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed to checkpoints
Advising clients on industry standards and leading practices
Recognizing business process inefficiencies and providing recommendations for improvements
While delivering on client projects, the Workday Lead Consultant will take an active role in growing the capabilities of the Guidehouse Workday practice by leading the following:
Growing your knowledge and skills as a subject matter expert in the Recruiting, Talent, Learning pillar of the Workday solution
Participating in an innovative, teaming culture for the HCM team to enable constant innovation
Providing guidance, instruction, and coaching to your peers who are new to Workday consulting
Participating in proposal responses and business development activities to grow the Guidehouse Workday Practice
Managing two or more resources of experienced consultants that include managers and experienced consultants
Creating workforce and staffing plans for specific job area
Setting employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews, makes recommendations on pay actions and other personnel actions
Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors or managers
What You Will Need
7+ years of consulting or industry experience delivering ERP solutions
Experience implementing Recruiting, Talent, and/or Learning solutions
Previous experience with the operations and culture of federal government organizations
Experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, or similar applications
Experience with the execution of projects within a structured methodology
Ability to translate business requirements into system requirements
Strong written and oral communication skills (RFP responses, white papers, etc.) and presentation skills, such as Workday demonstrations and client presentations
25-50% travel balanced with work from home and/or Guidehouse office, consultants may provide on-site support for key milestones as needed
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, focused on Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s Degree
US Citizenship, no dual citizenship
What Would Be Nice To Have
Current holder of the following Workday Certifications: HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning
Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company
Experience working in Federal Government Human Capital Management (HCM) environments with an understanding of the issues facing agencies today
Experience in an ERP Software Sales cycle (RFx responses, orals presentations, etc.)
The annual salary range for this position is $142,300.00-$284,500.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
