Exciting Opportunity! Top Cannabis company is seeking a Vice President of Sales
Our client is one of the nations' largest Cannabis retailers/wholesalers who has been experiencing steady growth since its inception in 2016. They have locations throughout six states and operate state of the art cannabis cultivation, manufacturing and dispensing facilities. Products include recreational and medical cannabis within a retail setting plus wholesale, delivery and ecommerce operations/channels. They have recently moved into consumer product offerings and would like to expand this initiative going forward. They have a laid-back but high-producing team and customer-focused culture. They thrive on excellence in all that they do and take pride in the products and services that they offer. As an addition to their leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all revenue generating activities of the company.
We are looking for a natural born leader (leadership is in your DNA) who has extensive proven sales leadership overseeing multi-unit retail operations and who has a passion for cannabis. The right candidate will have ten or more years experience managing in a multi-unit retail sales/ops leadership role. They will be the type of person who will do whatever it takes to get the job done and possess an optimistic, can-do attitude/approach.
Location: As some time spent in the retail stores and dispensaries will be expected, this position is located outside of Boston, MA and a candidate must either reside within MA or be willing to relocate to MA.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead all revenue generating operations (retail, wholesale, delivery, ecommerce) and related support functions. Oversee the health, growth and success of these departments with the benchmark of driving profitable revenue growth
Drive the success of the Field Operations team with support, guidance and structure around planning builds, store setup and all functions related to retail operating procedures
Execute world-class customer service by leveraging a strong team culture
Develop and manage market strategies to help grow business across all revenue channels
Identify improvements and present innovative solutions to new revenue opportunities to the executive team
Optimize revenue generating operations from a cost and efficiency standpoint - implementing standardized metrics to benchmark performance
Work with the marketing department to support marketing, customer service and communications campaigns
Oversee discounting, deal and promotional strategy and execution
Collaborate with and provide strategic insight to Production and Supply Chain
Support recruiting, hiring and staff developments/training with Human Resources
Outline and manage budget adherence to your teams
Lead with effective payroll management and cost control to always have a mindset to run as lean as possible while driving the success of the business
Motivate the sales teams to achieve their goals through consistent support and coaching
Monitor the market and competitor products and pricing to maintain competitiveness
Monitor new market opportunities
Drive KPI excellence, both through detailed execution and accountability, but also through quarterly presentations to the senior leadership team
Support development projects, new construction, ongoing beautification, and overall health and cleanliness of stores
Utilize company and market data to inform strategic decisions
Other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
You have a passion for cannabis
You have at least ten years of multi-unit retail support experience in a sales/ops leadership role
You are a natural born leader, leadership is in your DNA
Extremely strong data analysis and reporting skills
Open availability is a must, able to work all necessary hours to support the business
Must be able to travel, with overnight travel at times to different locations as needed
You are optimistic and have a can-do approach
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
You work best in a fast-paced environment
Ability to solve unexpected problems quickly and under pressure
Strong systems, software and computer skills
High-energy, enthusiasm and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
No drug related felony; ability to pass a comprehensive background check
High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
Valid Driver's License
What We Offer:
$150,000 - $200,000 base salary + equity + bonus
