About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Manager will perform a variety of general accounting duties. The primary focus of this position will be to prepare timely and accurate consolidated financial statements, and perform, prepare, and/or maintain the following: journal entries, general ledger account analyses and reconciliations, and various reports for senior management. In this role, you will prepare documentation supporting the compliance of ASC 606 and ASC 842 and take the lead for the year-end statutory audit.
What You’ll Do
Oversee the monthly closing procedure
Prepare, review, and analyze consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Review and approve journal entries
Prepare various reports for senior management
Supervise general ledger accounting functions
Lead the fiscal year-end audit of the company’s consolidated financial statement
Oversee and administer the requirements of ASC 606, ASC 842, and other relevant accounting standards
Serve as the lead for regulatory and tax audits for its subsidiaries
Work with foreign CPA firms to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including annual filings and income tax returns
Liaise with the VP of Finance to ensure alignment with the company’s operational functions
Develop insightful reports based on financial and non-financial data to meet reporting requirements while adapting to organizational changes
Perform other ad-hoc assignments and special projects as required
What You Bring
6+ years of experience – a mix of “Big 4” public accounting and manufacturing / cost accounting
2+ years of Big Four management experience is required
3+ years of SAP experience preferred
Strong GAAP, general ledger, and consolidations knowledge
Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842 required
Great interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Must be self-motivated, highly detailed, and organized
Must have advanced Excel skills (e.g., vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment and adapt to a changing environment
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
BS in Accounting, MBA preferred
CPA certification required
Previous experience working for a large manufacturing organization with sales greater than $200M
