Our client, a leading provider of innovative thermoformed packaging solutions is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager for the Southern California region. This position is remote; however, candidates must reside in Southern California.
The Company offers a wide range of custom PET packaging products, including a leading line of tamper-evident products. Their reputation is based on product integrity, excellent customer service and speed to market.
The Regional Sales Manager will establish new opportunities, successfully manage prospects, and close new business to achieve annual sales objectives in the CPG, Foodservice and Packaging Industry. Additional responsibilities include efficiently engaging new customers, and partnering with management to complete budget planning, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure sales strategy execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of company products to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts
Develop and execute account strategies for new and existing customers to create a solution orientated sales approach
Effectively articulate sales vision and strategy to identify leads on new opportunities, manage prospects, and develop a robust sales pipeline
Collect and maintain data to understand progress and provide a forecast of future business
Review effectiveness of strategy and make changes as required
Prepare periodic reports for management, identifying successful sales activities, sales trends, special account information, or issues and any follow up action required
Track market trends and develop competitive insight to be shared among the business unit
Qualifications and Requirements: 7+ years of sales experience in Paper, Disposables, Packaging, or Plastic Industry
Strong professional sales skills, including experience in resource and timeline management
Proven ability to develop and execute results-driven strategies that are aligned with business goals and objectives
Strong project management skills to allow for timely planning, executing, and reporting on multiple projects at the same time
Demonstrated effective collaboration with peers, cross-functional teams, and executive team
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in team
Strategic and analytical thinker with tactical focus
Travel is required
Remote position: Candidate is required to live in Southern California
