About the Role
The Company is in need of a Vice President of Finance to take on a pivotal leadership role within its Navy Business Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a large finance team, ensuring financial compliance, and playing a key part in the strategic execution and business management of the group. This includes managing a team of approximately 60 business finance professionals, overseeing contractual compliance, cost management, budget development, and proposal support. The role also involves tracking and improving key financial and business process metrics, providing recommendations for cost reduction and process improvements, and supporting the leadership team with data-driven analysis.Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years' of prior relevant experience in financial management or business operations. Government contracting experience is a must, with a preference for those who have worked within the Navy market community. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in quantitative analysis, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership. Experience with Joint Ventures, software/hardware integration projects, scheduling, EVMS, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance are also preferred. The Vice President of Finance will be expected to provide financial guidance, support long-term strategic planning, and ensure the financial performance of the business group.
