Labor & Employment Attorney

We are currently searching for an exceptional Attorney with experience defending employers in labor and employment litigation. Candidates must have demonstrated experience independently managing a variety of employment cases from intake to resolution, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, discovery, trial preparation, other court proceedings and settlement negotiations.
In this position the attorney will be responsible for working directly with employer clients providing counsel and representation on discrimination/harassment, wrongful termination, wage & hour violations, PAGA claims and other related litigation. The hired attorney will be trusted to devise key case strategy and litigate strategically while regularly communicating with clients. This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious attorney looking to grow into a partner role with a recognized, well-established law firm.
Qualifications
4-7 years of experience in Labor & Employment litigation, preferably wage and hour or class action defense
Experience drafting various legal documents, arguing motions, discovery and responses, taking/defending depositions and trial preparation
Possess excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Value a team environment while prepared to work independently and assume significant responsibilities
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
California bar license
Highly motivated, ambitious, with a desire for growth and responsibility
First/Second chair trial experience is a plus
