Oregonian Media Group , #1 source of news in the Pacific Northwest, seeks new senior leadership to grow our sales organization. The Vice President of Sales will report directly to the President of Oregonian Media Group and drive revenue growth for the company as a key member of the leadership team. This role is also responsible for forecasting, budgeting, project planning and other administrative tasks to grow our financial revenue streams.
The Vice President of Sales leads the local sales team, directing efforts to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at profitable revenue growth and increase market share with a keen focus on producing top tier client results. This position oversees sales efforts across key industry verticals, providing expert guidance and counsel to integrate a suite of digital offerings spanning proprietary targeting and delivery applications, and third-party offerings including search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media optimization, targeted video, and more. Staff management activities are aimed at cultivating leadership and professional development to ensure a vibrant workforce reflective of the community we serve.
Required Education, Experience And Skills
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business or Marketing preferred
10-15 years experience in marketing and sales with at least 5 years to include management in interactive/digital
Knowledge of SMO/SEO, analytics and media placement
Proven experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies
Strong business acumen, communication, presentation and analytical skills
Ability to develop and implement effective solutions for strategic marketing challenges
Demonstrated leadership skills and proven experience in planning and managing organizational change
Ability to effectively represent the company‘s strategic vision and goals throughout the organization and community
Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders

Develop and implement successful sales and marketing strategies for our full line of products, including digital and print media
Drive sales initiatives to meet or exceed established revenue goals
Collaborate with creative and technologies groups to ensure projects are developed to defined objectives
Attract, retain, and provide motivation for top talent
This job requires reliable transportation to meet with customers.
Position is remote/hybrid. In office as needed.
Extensive computer use required. Flexible hours required. We are a “remote first” work environment.
