Vice President of ILS Sales

The Vice President of Sales for Integrated Logistics is responsible for leading a diverse group of salespeople and achieving sales goals for the Non-Asset based logistics division (ILS) of this company. This role reports to the RVP Sales for ILS.

Job Type: Full-time/work from home

Responsibilities

Maintain and develop existing and future sales teams with a focus on new business development.

Work closely with the Non-Asset business leaders to assure product-market fit and develop the sales team’s approach connected to that.

Work closely with the RVP Sales and the marketing team to maintain and develop the go-to-market strategy for the Intermodal and Brokerage businesses.

Work with the ILS business leaders to develop and maintain the sales strategy for the Non-Asset business. This includes working with the various branch-level sales leaders to ensure alignment to that strategy across the organization.

Retain the existing customer base of the ILS business and promote the organic development of opportunities with that customer base.

Ensure the Salesforce CRM tool is used effectively to manage customers and opportunities for visibility to ILS Sr. Leadership.

Participation in key supply chain and industry forums

Manage key administrative tasks including sales process, pricing process, and contact development/management.

Negotiate contract terms, contract structure, and product lines

Working with the pricing and operations team, develop proposals and build customer solutions that are market competitive and use the relationship sales model to ensure a high success rate.

Sell across company’s entire portfolio of services and work with the corporate sales team on Dedicated or Distribution opportunities where applicable.

Experience

BA or BS degree

10+ years of sales and sales leadership skills and experience

Analytical skills – assess, design, and sell a given solution

Previous Transportation industry knowledge

Ability to market and sell complex integrated solutions

Ability to communicate with corporate-level staff

Strong general business acumen and maturity

This position offers a competitive base salary.
