As RPI rapidly expands into new publishing markets and customer segments, we're looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and innovative Sales Executive to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, you will drive revenue by assisting book publishers in transitioning relevant title lists to a Print-on-Demand model. You'll steer print business towards RPI's extensive print platform, utilizing our recently developed Publisher Access print management platform and our Open API for seamless storefront integration. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a business that has grown through recent acquisitions and is poised for the next level of success.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in book printing, encompassing both short (digital) and long-run (offset) printing, along with a solid understanding of book publishing and distribution. We seek a sales professional who is a self-starter with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to devise and sell solutions to a diverse range of book publishers, distributors, and digital content providers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a sales strategy to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas, securing significant market share.

Excel in closing deals, demonstrating the ability to execute 1-3-month sales campaigns following a well-defined sales process.

Identify customer needs, offering solutions using RPI's products and services while demonstrating a problem-solving mindset.

Exhibit strong listening skills, understanding customer challenges, and swiftly formulating solutions with RPI's products and services.

Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at the C-level, adopting a top-down approach to engagement.

Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations that convey substantial value to customers and prospects.

Cultivate enduring relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, collaborating to achieve desired business outcomes.

Assume accountability and responsibility, making tough decisions when necessary and sharing both successes and setbacks.

Stay informed about competitors and their offerings, advocating for continuous internal improvements to keep RPI ahead of the competition.

Qualifications

5+ years in print sales - book/commercial printing, SaaS web2print sales/solutions consultant role

Sales hunter - Must have a proven track record of closing significant new business

Proven success in delivering at or over quota results through new customer acquisition.

Excellent negotiation skills with external customers and internal cross functional teams

Experience delivering product demonstrations that create value, develop and comfortably present business solutions to the executive level

Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or graphic arts/print

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Salesforce or other CRMs, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite

Detail oriented but able to see the big picture

Collaborative team player who excels at working independently when needed.

Must be a confident, adaptable self-starter who thrives in an empowered, fast-paced environment.
