Regional Sales Manager

We are recruiting an RSM in the Automation & Controls (W&D) Warehouse and Distribution control system industry. Our client is a leading provider of warehouse and distribution control systems. This includes System Modeling, Emulation, Simulation, Control System Hardware Design, Customer High-speed Sortation Software, and Integration of Automated Data Collection.
Position Summary: The ideal candidates should have experience working with Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 Integrators. They will be responsible for cultivating new business opportunities and overseeing customer, consultant, and end-user relationships. This involves supervising sales and estimating teams to create proposals and foster connections with potential new customers.
Your primary role is to secure new clients and promote our control system technology to the W&D industry, establishing our client's position as the sole negotiator for control systems and services for W&D clients on the bidder's list.
You will be responsible for sales, estimating, marketing, and negotiating new business for projects and service offerings. You will collaborate with the President to develop new business offerings and explore new markets within or adjacent to the W&D market. You will lead the market expansion and hire sales executives as we grow. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating opportunities and expanding into other markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead strategy on new business areas or markets. Develop new client relationships.
Analyze future market needs with Engineering. Create and report on annual booking forecasts. Ensure quality of sales and estimating deliverables.
Collaborate with Project Managers on change orders.
Work with the Accounting Manager and President on booking forecasts and commission payments. Provide sales, estimating, and business development training.
Manage project handover from Sales to Project Management. Engage with consultants, customers, and end users during project stages.
