They are highly self-aware with solid written and verbal communication skills. They enjoy sales work and engaging with people, have strong work standards, are teachable, are goal-oriented, enjoy growing as a leader, and can maintain the ability to work independently.
Core Functions
Sales Strategy for Big Box Accounts
Key Account Management
New Business Development
KPI Reporting
Duties: Sales Strategy- implementing strategic action to grow sales in Big Box retailers- working with Director of Sales on sales goals for key accounts.
Key Account Management- serving and growing current key accounts- ensuring accounts are regularly contacted and feel appreciated- submitting new product assortments to retailers based on their submission schedule- submitting product promos to retailers based on their requirements and submission schedule- maintaining records of promo submission deadlines, cost/timeline/discounts of promos being offered, and product submission deadlines for accounts- reviewing sales data to inform decisions on product assortment and promos- managing void reports to proactively address ordering/sales performance issues.
New Business Development- developing target prospect lists- pursuing target accounts- tracking sales progress with each account.
Tradeshow Attendance- Traveling to tradeshows to show products to current and new accounts (1-3 times per year).
Price/Assortment Management- ensuring accurate pricing is given to each key account- tracking product assortments in each account.
New Lead Qualification- responding to new wholesale leads within 1 business day & following appropriate new lead process for qualification.
KPI Reporting-maintaining accurate sales pipeline data and KPI metric reporting.
Required Experience:
Sales/account management (ideally in the CPG industry), sales staff management, customer service.
Hours:
40 hours/week
Position will begin on site with the potential for a hybrid schedule (case by case basis).
Starting Pay:
$70,000-$85,000/year base + bonus structure for hitting/exceeding sales goals.
