Work for a manufacture as a National/Regional Sales Manager in the electronics industry:
Maintain and increase business at existing customers.
Generate business with new customers (general, target customers and target industries).
Identify opportunities for the research and development of new products compatible with the company"s core competencies.
Manage the activities of Manufacturers Representatives and Distributors in the assigned territory, assuring sales call plan, sales leads and follow-ups are accomplished.
Develop sales call plan based on management objectives, including coverage of potential and existing customers.
Implement the plan via application of systematic selling techniques, including customer education, effective use of collateral materials, research papers, references, competitive knowledge, and cost/benefit analysis.
Respond to customer concerns with technical support, field seminars, alternative proposals, and system options.
Follow up on all sales calls and leads to confirm customer"s needs have been met, clarify and respond to any additional concerns, and close the sale.
Assist in the development of marketing plans through the solicitation of competitive information.
Innovate beyond the scope of official responsibility.
Position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as
may be assigned.
Maintain timely and accurate territory administrative records, including call reports, expense reports, trips reports, etc. as directed by manager.
Attend national, regional and local trade shows to generate new business and build/enhance network contacts.
Job Requirements
Details:
-Bachelors degree in Business or Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
-5+ years selling electronic components.
-Familiar with board level components and understanding of electronics.
-10%-15% travel throughout the county.
