The Account Director role is an individual contributor responsible for prospecting and closing sales in GumGum's Market Leading Contextual Advertising platform. Reporting to Sales Director in Los Angeles, this role is responsible for developing key relationships within large and mid-size agencies with occasional managerial guidance on strategic client calls. We require this role to work relatively autonomously while being supported by a cross-functional pre-sales team.

Account Directors have experience and deep knowledge of the online media landscape, the advertising community and have at least 4+ years of digital media experience. The Account Director uses existing processes to solve a variety of challenging problems to deliver for clients. The role is required to apply independent judgment and discretion to select appropriate options from GumGum's defined and proven products.

Note: GumGum fosters a flexible work environment, offering GumGummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. However, for occasional in-person collaboration, we kindly ask that this position be located within a 'commutable' distance to our office.

What You'll Achieve

Drive Revenue: Manage a $3M+ book of business, driving renewals and new business in LA.

Sales from Leads: Identify and qualify marketing-driven opportunities.

Prospecting: High volume sales activities, including cold calls, presentations, and creative solutions.

Upsell Clients: Provide insights into display and video offerings, support sales of new products.

Build Relationships: Cultivate deep connections with brands and agencies to offer tailored solutions.

Client Feedback: Relay insights to the product team for improved service.

Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation of proposals.

Skills You'll Bring

Bachelor's in Media, Marketing, or related field.

4+ years in digital ad sales with a $3M+ book of business.

Proven sales track record with strong brand and agency contacts.

Experience in programmatic sales.

Proficient in Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong relationship-building and organizational skills.

Problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Motivated, proactive, and passionate about GumGum.

Outgoing, adaptable, and creative thinker.

Team player with a sense of urgency and flexibility.

What We Offer

At GumGum, competitive base pay is a part of a total rewards package which also includes benefits, an emphasis on recognition, development, and wellness. The reasonable estimated base pay range for this role is from ($96,000 - $119,000) annually. The actual amount may be higher or lower. Individual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, work location, and labor market conditions.

The total rewards package offered also includes an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan, and depending on the role, participation in a bonus, commission, or stock incentive program.
