Role Summary:
To be successful in this role you must be detail oriented, very organized, and work with a sense of urgency. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management of payroll processes. You will work closely with your HR team to gather employee information and calculate wages, while also ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. In addition, you will provide training, support and guidance to employees regarding payroll and ADP related matters.
Key Responsibilities: Process payroll for a large and growing number of employees accurately and on time every time.
Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations.
Gather and review employee information, such as timesheets and benefits deductions, to calculate wages and hours worked.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
Generate and distribute payroll reports to management.
Stay current on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
Address employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters in a timely and respectful manner.
Ensure accurate and complete employee records in ADP Workforce Now.
Configure ADP Workforce Now for efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times.
Recommend process upgrades to make workflow more efficient and user friendly.
Provide support for all HR functions such as new employee orientation and terminations.
Maintain and audit employee forms such as I-9, employee certifications, etc.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing with a large percentage of time using ADP.
Up to date knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
Strong understanding of payroll software systems.
Exemplify a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Advanced Microsoft Excel & Outlook skills.
Proven execution of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in all types of settings.
Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Exemplify a high level of integrity.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including most recent booster or vaccine when applicable. Must be able to show proof of vaccination.
Must be vaccinated with current Influenza vaccine
Must show Proof of TB clearance (issued within the past 12 months or less)
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
Experience working in an FQHC or other type of Community Health Center.
