About The Role
Hinge Health is seeking an experienced payroll analyst to manage day-to-day payroll processing responsibilities in partnership with HR & accounting teams and other members of the payroll team. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the full payroll processing cycle, a track record of meeting timely payroll deadlines, attention to detail, integrity, and enthusiasm to work at a growing and rapidly evolving company. The payroll analyst joins the Finance team and reports to the Sr. Manager, Equity & Payroll.
What You'll Accomplish
Accurately process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls in Workday for 1500+ employees across different entities in the US and Canada
Calculate and process off-cycle payrolls as necessary
Audit new hires and process terminations
Research and resolve payroll processing exceptions
Respond to payroll employee inquiries and payroll-related questions timely
State registrations as entities continue to expand
Work cross-functionally with HR operations and accounting teams
Process garnishments, levies, withholding tax notices, unemployment insurance notices, child support, as needed
Complete the 401(k) process to ensure information is accurate and properly recorded
Audit tax codes and setup between Workday and ADP and resolve discrepancies
Record payroll journal entries and other month-end close items including preparing reconciliations and variance analysis for payroll-related general ledger accounts.
Assist with quarterly tax audits and year-end W-2 reporting
Perform other duties and responsibilities, including ad hoc reporting, audits, or special projects, as needed

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.
Qualificatons:
Basic Qualifications
2+ years experience in processing payroll
High Volume, Multi-state payroll experience for 1000+ employees
Understanding of taxing authorities and government regulations
Ability to perform duties in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills - ability to perform vlookup and pivot tables
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with Workday, ADP, Empower
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with Workday system configuration
Experience processing equity transactions in payroll (stock options, RSUs, ESPP)
Compensation
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $83,200 - $124,800.
