Position: Heavy Civil Construction Project Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Responsibilities: As a Heavy Civil Construction Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of their projects by:
Assisting project managers in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects.
Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met according to schedule and budget.
Conducting field inspections and quality control checks to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications and regulations.
Assisting in the preparation and review of project plans, drawings, and technical documents.
Managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Providing technical expertise and support to project teams and resolving engineering-related issues as they arise.
Experience Needed: The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects, preferably with a general contractor.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Qualifications Needed:
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering software is a plus.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
