Must have exemplary verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate descriptively or persuasively with all levels in an organization, including C-Suite
Ability to cold call and proactively reach out to prospective members
Strong understanding of sales performance metrics
Ability to speak effectively in public meetings and make convincing presentations
Maintain a high degree of professionalism and credibility at all times
Proficient with SalesForce or similar CRM
Must be technically sophisticated and possess working knowledge of general office equipment
Proficient with MS Office Suite products
Required travel: Approximately 20% of the time may be spent on travel primarily within California
Responsibilities The Sales Manager will primarily be responsible for membership recruitment and retention and promoting member usage of Biocom Purchasing Group’s (PG) supplier network for the Northern California region
The Sales Manager will work with regional sales reps to develop long term relationships with members, industry leaders and to represent Biocom and the Biocom Purchasing Group in the Northern California Region
The Sales Manager will assist with events, member services, and member outreach as well as performing their business development duties
Responsible for achieving budgeted membership and PG revenue, sales, and retention goals
Achievement of new member goals, through prospecting and recruitment efforts, to join Biocom in the Northern California region
Responsible for generating and maintaining new membership pipeline and leads
Achievement of Biocom PG program contract adoption goals for Northern California, in conjunction with purchasing group supplier representatives
Engage members to prospect for new PG supplier contract opportunities in the Northern California region
Strategic management of the assigned geography: including large, medium, and small company identification and prospecting
Management of the geographic book of business and appropriate ownership of the top 50 to ensure the health of the territory
Responsible for member retention through regular and frequent contact with them to ensure that members are engaged at various levels, understand the overall Biocom value proposition and are aware of their savings potential
Successfully collaborate and partner with Biocom PG suppliers to ensure joint goals are set and realized and that members experience high levels of satisfaction
Collaborate with engagement team on member retention, PG opportunity generation, regional contract adoption rates and overall health of the member community region
Assist other team members across all regions to improve sales process, prospecting, territory strategy, PG supplier relationships, and efficiency in alignment with the Executive Director, Sales
Represent Biocom and Biocom PG at events, many which occur throughout the day, including the morning and into the evening around the Bay Area
Collaborate with internal PG, events, marketing teams to develop collateral to support sales and retention efforts
Daily use of SalesForce as a key sales enabling technology and ensure timely and accurate updating of membership and PG activity into the SalesForce database
Other responsibilities as assigned
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in the Northern California area is $115,000 - $140,000
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in the Northern California area is $115,000 - $140,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education etc. Biocom California is a multi-state and multi-regional employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states and regions.
