A Little Bit About The Position
Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for fostering a safe and compliant workplace? Join our team at Gemini Legal as a Human Resources (HR) Manager, where you'll enhance our HR department and programs with a focus on safety, legal adherence, and employee relations. In this pivotal role, you will develop comprehensive safety programs, manage legal compliance and reporting, and ensure our HR practices align with current labor laws. We seek a meticulous, proactive individual who excels in managing multiple high-priority responsibilities in an organized and timely manner.
As part of the People Operations division, you'll play a critical role in creating a respectful and inclusive workplace, providing guidance to management and staff, and driving continuous improvement in our HR processes. Location: Hybrid-remote at our Rocklin, CA office (up to 3 days per week in office)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Compensation: $95,000-$114,000 per annum
Travel: Travel may be required for this position up to 10% of working hours
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of progressive experience in HR compliance, labor relations, or a similar role
Human Resources certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
OSHA 30 certification preferred; must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Proven leadership ability or experience
In-depth knowledge of employment law and its application in CA (other U.S. states are a plus)
Working knowledge and experience overseeing OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs
Strong employee relations experience with the ability to exhibit compassion and boundaries
Advanced time management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Presentation/public speaking with the ability to create visual charts to represent reporting metrics
Ability to handle fluctuating volumes of work and function in a fast-paced environment, on deadline
Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
Proficient using a computer, business phone, office software, video conferencing, and other computer programs including Google Workplace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, etc.)
Proficiency with HRIS platforms required
Familiarity with project management software such as Asana or Monday.com preferred
Clean driving record
Experience working in an office setting
Exceptional teamwork
Functional Requirements
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:
Sitting for at least one hour at a time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
Keyboarding for extended periods of time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
Using a phone with or without a headset for extended periods (total: 2-4 hours/day)
Driving for extended periods of time, up to 1-2 hours in a day and up to 25-50 miles per day
