JOB SUMMARY

The VP of Business Insights plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing our organization’s data strategy and leading strategic initiatives related to analytics and data products. As Conifer embarks on its transition from on-premise data repositories to the Google Cloud, this role will be instrumental in orchestrating the modernization of our data infrastructure. The position is responsible for overseeing data governance, driving operational excellence across our data and analytics functions, and owning the P&L. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, drive execution of complex data and analytics requirements, and deliver actionable insights and profitable data products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement national operational & reporting strategy, including transition to enterprise standard tools, increasing automation and improving the user experience.

Strategize with client and operations leaders to proactively identify performance improvement and problem avoidance areas and provide appropriate allocation of resources to ensure all client objectives are met.

Champion the integration of BI insights into strategic planning, resource allocation, and operational decision-making across the organization

Develop executive-level dashboards and reports to track progress against goals and facilitate data-driven decision-making at the leadership level.

Partner with business leaders to embed data-driven decision-making into core operational processes.

Mentor team members through regular coaching, professional development opportunities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to build effective relationships both within Conifer and the client organization and influence senior leaders overseeing operations and client delivery that are based in multiple locations across a wide geographic span.

Strong understanding of relationships between patient access, health information management, billing, and collections.

Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle metrics and drivers, particularly in billing and collections (AR days, cash goals, aging, and compliance metrics).

Analytical abilities using revenue cycle metrics/processes to measure and drive results (including days in A/R reduction, improved cash collections, reduced aging, and lower denials).

Strong written and oral communication skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

4 year college degree in applicable related field and 5-7 years analytics and reporting with demonstrated leadership experience or

7-10 years analytics and reporting with demonstrated leadership experience or

7-10 years experience in Revenue Cycle Management with demonstrated leadership experience

Healthcare experience strongly preferred
