Summary of Role:
Responsible for overseeing procurement activities within the organization, ensuring efficient acquisition of necessary products and services at optimal costs.

Key Responsibilities:
Develops and implements sourcing strategies to secure a reliable supply of raw materials, packaging, and labels.
Establishes criteria for vendor evaluation and selection processes.
Identifies purchasing trends and opportunities for cost savings through consolidation.
Sets and monitors performance metrics for purchasing operations.
Negotiates complex vendor contracts to achieve favorable terms.
Provides leadership and guidance to team members, including coaching and development.
Collaborates cross-functionally to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.
Shapes business strategies and aligns departmental goals with company objectives.
Oversees purchasing department projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures to support long-term organizational success.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Over 15 years of progressive experience in plant operations, with at least 5 years in procurement.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentorship and relationship building.
Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge of MRP applications.
Basic proficiency in PC skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
