About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Controller to join their CFO leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team that prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the board of directors, senior management, and third parties. This role involves overseeing the accounting and accounts payable departments, managing general accounting functions and controls, and actively contributing to strategic planning and financial plans, projects, and reporting. The VP, Controller will also ensure the accuracy of financial records and accounts in accordance with GAAP, lead the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, and collaborate with auditors, regulators, and stakeholders on accounting-related matters.Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible accounting operations experience, with at least 5 years of direct supervision of employees. A BA or BS degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with an MBA, CPA, or Big Four Audit experience preferred. The role demands proficiency in accounting software, databases, and spreadsheets, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to foster internal and external business relationships. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of financial institutions' operating areas, functions, products, and services, as well as the laws and regulations that govern them. Strong leadership, team management, and presentation skills are essential for this position.
