What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Profitably grow existing accounts and establish new accounts within an assigned territory
Plan and schedule time and travel to maximize territory coverage and resources – up to 80% travel
Provide professional presentations to prospective Fabricators, Architects, and Engineers
Represent the employer at trade shows
Make cold calls to potential clients to grow sales within the assigned territory
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of sales experience in the commercial or residential building products industry required
Ability to visit clients onsite at truss plants and be comfortable in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and understanding of basic building construction and building process
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with engineers, architects, and other key members of the construction process to present and sell products
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
5+ years of experience in building products sales highly preferred
Knowledge and understanding of cold-formed steel a plus
Truss and wall panel knowledge highly preferred
Sales experience in a blend of established and unestablished territories a plus
Knowledge of AutoCAD (Software) a plus
