Business Development Specialist; Learning Environments

Seattle, WA, United States

Firm Description

Integrus Architecture is a Pacific Northwest design practice offering architectural, structural engineering, experiential design, and interior design with offices in Spokane, Seattle, and Portland.

At Integrus we create the environments that bring people together and support the best of human aspiration, potential, and goodwill. We DESIGN FOR THE COMMONS.

Our practice centers around the concept that to create these spaces we must first appreciate the intricacies of how we go here, consider the motivations behind our desires, and imagine a future in which everyone feels accepted. This is the COMMONS. Driven by this belief, we focus our efforts around three pillars: Supporting Architectures of Care and Belonging, Shape Spaces of Inclusion and Resilience, and Sustaining our Environments through Stewardship and Innovation.

Position Description

Business development and marketing requires both regional networks and focus area expertise. We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to: 1) lead our business development and marketing activities for our K12 Learning Environments focus area, and 2) Provide senior leadership, oversight, and service for all BD/Marketing efforts in our Seattle location. You will collaborate directly with our Principals and design experts, building and implementing our Learning Environments Strategic Marketing Plan across the Pacific Northwest and in support of success in each of our three offices.

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be an integral, full-time team member in our Marketing/Business Development group as you:

· Serve as the lead administrator for our K12 Learning Environments focus area, including facilitating team meetings, researching, and tracking opportunities,

· Serve as a key contributor to both our strategic marketing plan for K12 Learning Environments, and tactical implementation of that plan,

· Actively build a network of relationships in the K12 ethos locally, regionally, and nationally, and facilitate connections between that network and our design professionals,

· Communicate Integrus’ branded messages for identity, culture, mission, and commitment to K12 Learning Environments,

· Identify, target, and track future opportunities in our K-12 education focus area,

· Research and execute K-12 Learning Environments focus area strategies,

· Craft proposals and assist teams to prepare for interviews,

· Supporting teams in award submittals, project photography, and articles,

· Attending K-12 education conferences and organizations for new business development,

· Mentor our Seattle marketing staff and design professionals,

· Collaborate with our communications and visualizations teams to create compelling graphics, brochures, and marketing materials, and social media content campaigns,

· Manage office-wide commitment to consistent use of our branded messaging, including applying and evolving our brand standards guidebook to all marketing and business development activities.

A successful candidate is highly communicative, possesses the ability to motivate others to reach finite milestones, is adept at maintaining a robust library of materials/content, and is capable of being a knowledge expert for project teams.

Please note this is NOT a Digital Marketing Focused position. Successful candidates will have more experience with writing and development of articles, proposals, and similar documents than social media or digital marketing experience.

Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in English, Marketing, Graphics, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

· Minimum 8 years experience creating content to targeted audiences.

· Writing and graphic editing experience.

· Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

· Excellent verbal, written communication, and graphic skills.

· Excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Position Preferences

· An understanding of the architectural, engineering, and/or construction (AEC) industry, with a focus in K-12 education.

· Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite – specifically InDesign and Photoshop, as well as MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Travel and out-of-office

This position is full-time in the Seattle office, and can expect some day travel, evening and off-hour work, and overnight travel to other offices, conferences, etc. This role has responsibility for marketing and business development success at all of Integrus’ locations and will require occasional time in our offices outside of Seattle.
