Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a IT Data Analyst to join our team. The IT Data Analyst at Frazer reports to the IT Manager , and is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights to drive informed decision-making within the organization. The primary focus of this role is creating, organizing, and maintaining Google spreadsheets, along with utilizing programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Google Apps Script. Proficiency in SQL is essential for querying and analyzing data from various sources. Additionally, experience with JDBC connections and BigQuery will be valuable for managing large datasets and extracting insights from cloud-based platforms.

What Does a Week in the Life of the IT Data Analyst Look Like?

Gather data from diverse sources and systems.

Develop and implement methods for extracting relevant information.

Cleanse and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Transform data into a usable format for analysis.

Create, organize, and maintain complex spreadsheets for data storage and analysis.

Implement formulas, functions, and macros to automate repetitive tasks.

Utilize JavaScript, Python, and Google Apps Script and others for scripting and automation.

Develop scripts to enhance data processing efficiency.

Establish and manage JDBC connections for accessing and querying relational databases.

Optimize and fine-tune database and spreadsheet queries for improved performance.

Leverage BigQuery and other platforms for handling and analyzing large datasets in a cloud environment.

Write and optimize efficient SQL queries to extract valuable insights from data.

Perform statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends and patterns.

Create visually appealing and informative charts, graphs, and dashboards.

Utilize tools for advanced data visualization.

Conduct data quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy.

Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve data discrepancies.

Document data processing workflows, scripts, and analysis methodologies.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for future reference.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.

Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate and streamline data processes.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Propose and implement improvements to existing processes and tools

Required Education and Experience:

Strong scripting skills in SQL, JavaScript, Python, and Google Apps Script.

Experience with JDBC connections and BigQuery.

Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing relational databases.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics).

Proven experience in data analysis, spreadsheet management (Google sheets), and programming.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Minimum of two years’ relevant experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.

Strong communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Of course, we didn't forget salary… Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $58,000 to $75,000 annually depending on education, certifications, and experience.

Work Schedule

The IT Data Analyst will work Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm; Friday, 7:00 am to 11:00 am . Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
