Job Summary

The National Account Executive will drive revenue growth for SLANG Worldwide's strategic partners nationwide. This position will report directly to the National Sales Manager.

The National Account Executive will be responsible for achieving monthly revenue targets within each respective market, helping to create, implement, and execute sales strategies as determined by senior management.

There is a strong emphasis on Inside Sales initiatives pertaining to increasing market penetration in all of our Strategic Markets.

Responsibilities and Duties

Drive revenue daily by achieving and exceeding revenue (and profit) targets

Communicate, educate and train territory sales teams on a regular basis with a particular emphasis on SLANG product portfolio, goal setting, KPI/scorecard verification and activity measurements.

Management of existing strategic sales markets, including heavy prospecting for new KEY accounts, maintaining relationships and revenue streams at current accounts.

Heavy emphasis on Market B2C Dispensary events on a monthly basis, in addition to in-person Budtender training and staff education.

Work with other sales leadership staff, including the VP of Sales, to create, implement, and execute nation sales strategies as approved by senior management.

Work with other department leaders to ensure that sales teams are prepared for success including proper communication and materials from marketing, production, accounting, innovation and product teams.

Develop forecasts, projections and pro formas as needed for the region.

Work closely on the launch of new products in the region.

Monitor performance of all product lines, brands and initiatives within the region.

Attending industry events, sponsorships and/or customer engagement opportunities.

Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism with ethical behavior.

Work to change the global perception of cannabis.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Must be proficient on the computer, able to learn all aspects of our internal CRM and systems.

Must be a critical thinker and solution minded.

Takes initiative and is one step ahead in every aspect.

Self-starter who can manage time and prioritize tasks.

Competitive attitude.

Stellar communication skills.

Must pass a criminal background check.

Must be able to work in the cannabis industry (obtaining applicable state(s) marijuana/cannabis licenses, permits, or other forms of identification).

Must have reliable transportation, vehicle insurance, and a clean driving record.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:30-5 pm.

Occasionally work nights and weekends as needed.

Travel up to 30% of the time will be required (this may increase at any time) out of state.

Bonus Points for Someone with: Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG)

Experience working with convenience stores, pharmacies, or health and wellness retailers

Proven track record of driving sales and managing key accounts in these or similar markets

Compensation & Benefits

Salary of $55,000 - $70,000 per year DOE

Commission based upon closed sales
