Primary Responsibilities
Taking a lead role in commercial and general corporate matters for Focus and its partner firms, including by drafting and negotiating vendor, services and other commercial contracts for Focus and its partner firms, including NDAs/confidentiality and similar agreements, and discussing legal and business issues that arise with the business teams.
Providing support for M&A and other transactions for Focus and its partner firms, including by assisting with transaction agreements and related documentation and due diligence.
Assisting with corporate filings.
Assisting with other miscellaneous legal matters for Focus and its partner firms as needed
Coordinating with outside counsel when necessary.
Qualifications
A Juris Doctor degree from a nationally recognized U.S. law school.
3+ years as an attorney at a U.S. law firm or in-house focusing largely on transactional and/or general corporate matters.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and matters independently and efficiently, including in areas outside of your expertise.
Excellent writing (including drafting) and oral communication skills.
Sound business judgement and the ability to think strategically and communicate effectively.
An understanding of securities laws and SEC regulation generally. Familiarity with the regulation of investment advisers specifically will be a plus.
Desire to work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be $265,000 to $275,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other reward may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
