Nabsys is the pioneer in high-definition electronic genome mapping. Headquartered in Providence, RI, Nabsys uses proprietary electronic nanodetectors to analyze long DNA molecules traveling at high velocity.

Today Nabsys stands at the threshold of a new era in genomics with the introduction of the OhmX platform. This groundbreaking technology empowers us to map human genomes at an unprecedented scale. Building on our expertise, we’re once again setting our sights on the whole-genome mapping market, with a renewed focus on the human genome.

Title: Instrument Sales Manager East

Nature of Role: We are in search of an experienced and energetic salesperson to join our Instrument Sales Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Instrument Sales, North America, the Instrument Sales Manager, East will be responsible for directly selling Nabsys’ newly launched human genome mapping instrument and accompanying analytics software. You will grow your book of business across both the genomics research and clinical sectors in regions of the Eastern United States. Working closely with product management, marketing, and the leadership team, you will help design prospecting and selling strategies for your region.

The successful candidate must have some previous experience in selling genomics instruments or related technologies in the region and the enthusiasm to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This is a phenomenal opportunity for growth as we launch a next generation platform that will make a significant impact on the course of genomic analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Become a contributing part of a strong but nimble sales organization in the US

Participate in sales and technical training in line with Nabsys commercial plan

Identify and close sales opportunities in specific regions

Collaborate with marketing and product management to refine messaging that’s fit for purpose in generating leads in specific markets and reaching certain customers

Update your sales pipeline in the Nabsys CRM

Deliver rolling forecasts on a regular basis for instrument sales in your territory

Serve as a thought leader on growth opportunities for the management team

Collaborate with marketing team to define strategies and plans to capture these opportunities and drive placements in your territory

Participate in national and regional tradeshows

Coordinate lunch and learns at customer sites

Work cross functionally to create sales materials that help drive selling opportunities

Builds close relationships with key customers, thought leaders, and industry influencers to stay abreast of emerging market trends and regulatory guidance

Collaboratively works with the Sales Director and Commercial Team to drive the business strategy and increase market share

Requirements:

Role is field based preferably located in the Boston, MA

At least 5 years of experience working in sales in the biotechnology or life science sectors

Previous experience with instrument sales in genomics space

Participate in sales and technical training in line with Nabsys commercial plan

Identify and close sales opportunities in your region and perform to sales targets

Compensation:
