With almost 90 years of history, and using 21st Century state-of-the-art tooling, we fabricate metal structures to the extreme requirements of our clients in aerospace, transportation, science, medicine, aviation, construction and security applications.
Profitable every year since 1937, we continue to grow and now require an experienced CFO. Reporting to the General Manager and the Board of Directors, the CFO will provide strategic direction and controls.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Leadership Team, assist the General Manager and Board of Directors in formulating strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring the implementation of Financial and Accounting procedures in accordance with industry benchmarks and GAAP standards
Take charge of Finance, Accounting and Taxation matters. Ensure that all accounting records are properly and timely maintained, reporting cycles and other associated engagements, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, MD&A, year-end financial statements, 13-week cash flow forecast, internal and external reporting, are performed in an effective and timely manner in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements. Direct the activities of two Accounting Department staff and an external CPA, as well as managing the relationship with external auditors
Streamline the financial systems and processes currently underpinning the Company’s operations, including project tracking and job costing within the company’s accounting system.
Prepare financial projections, budgets, and quarterly board reports in alignment with the business plan and present to the General Manager and Board of Directors
Ensure compliance with covenants incorporated in financing documents with banks and regulatory agencies
Requirements
At least 15 years’ experience as a senior accounting leader in a manufacturing company with revenue of at least $50M
Experience with LEAN and six-sigma principles in manufacturing operations
Proficient in generating financial and operational forecasts in Excel including roll-up to parent company
Masters in Accounting, CPA or CMA desired but not mandatory
