The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
is responsible for establishing and leading the financial
strategies of the organization and ensuring a strong environment of
fiscal responsibility and enterprise-wide risk management. The CFO
leads the Financial Operations teams, including Accounting &
Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury,
Accounting Services, Procurement, and Travel & Events. The CFO
serves as a strategic partner on the Executive team and assists in
the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan
and annual budget. The CFO is responsible for prudent management of
the organization’s financial assets in accordance with all
associated board governance policies.
EXPERIENCE
Requirements
Fifteen years of experience in a senior-level finance position,
preferably with a large and multifaceted budget.
Ten years of leadership or staff management experience.
Preferences
Seven years of experience in a Chief Financial Officer position
interacting with Board Directors and Committee Chairs.
Five years non-profit or management experience.
Five years of experience managing budgets with diverse funding
streams.
EDUCATION
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related
field. Preferences
Master of Business Administration (MBA).
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURE
Requirements
Certified Public Accountant.
Valid state-issued driver’s license.
