The Senior Manager, Business Development effectively evaluates, analyzes and supports execution of strategic transactions to build the future of Sarepta through Business Development. Sarepta has become the partner of choice for genetic medicine companies globally and we intend to accelerate our already substantial BD activity going forward. The Senior Manager competently performs all financial and economic analyses to support acquisition, licensing and partnership opportunities. Additionally, the Senior Manager effectively project manages confidential due diligence processes. This role works as part of a larger BD team and also directly with the Executive Committee on a wide variety of high-impact initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Support BD leadership to further develop Sarepta's long-term strategic direction including analysis of therapeutic areas beyond Sarepta's current focus.
Screen and analyze potential collaboration, license and acquisition opportunities from a commercial, financial, economic, and strategic perspective.
Understand and apply financial statement analysis and accounting principles to support assessment of public and private BD targets.
Conduct all financial and economic analysis for all BD transactions to include but not limited to ROIC, DCF valuation, SOTP valuation, and accretion / dilution analysis
Build ad-hoc financial models to include commercial models, P&L and cash flow statements.
Provide project management oversight to track status of current transactions as well as potential deals and create executive presentations.
Lead detailed diligence on selected high-priority deals as part of diligence teams.
Serve as a liaison to the Research and Development, technical and commercial teams, collaborate closely with them in prioritizing internal and external research targets.
Generate executive level presentations to support seeking approval for relevant BD transactions.
As appropriate, pursue and execute collaboration, license and acquisition agreements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work effectively with legal, finance and scientific teams and make business development proposals to senior leadership.

Desired Education and Skills:
BS/BA required, MBA a plus, with at least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in investment banking or management consulting. Additionally, will consider individuals operating in business development or corporate strategy within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
An understanding of drug discovery and development process.
Strong accounting, corporate finance and valuation skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple transactions.
Leadership in managing diligence processes.
Ability and interest in contributing across the organization; flexibility to accept and contribute to critical projects outside of business development.
Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization.
Ability to explain complex strategic initiatives and advanced scientific/medical challenges across a broad audience.
Some travel required.

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.
The targeted salary range for this position is $132,000 - $165,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
