Position Summary
We are seeking a driven, eclectic, detail oriented individual to join our sales team as a Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Market Development & Sales Strategy, this individual will be heavily involved in the execution of the US Private Label division’s strategic vision, new product development efforts, and innovation pipeline. The role calls for someone who is hands on and comfortable with multi-tasking projects in various stages of completion. Seeking a “jack of all trades” type sales & marketing individual who can interact with a wide array of cross functional contacts to pull together information with the intent of preparing finished product content for the sales team. Looking for an individual who is adept at understanding and analyzing information to glean insights and actionable nuggets from a variety of data sources. Primary Responsibilities Include
Drive strategic sales growth plans through new product development execution
Create platform and item specific sell sheets that package up and deliver cohesive selling stories for sales (reason to believe, market fit, price/promotion recommendations, product attributes, product images etc.)
Be familiar and capable with pulling, analyzing and creating insights from syndicated data to help connect dots and identify new opportunities (i.e. Circana, Mintel, internal shipment data etc.)
Act as point person for product renders/mockups and any in house label development, customer presentations and ad hoc visual needs
Ownership of any new packer label/seasonal in and out labels we may choose to implement
Coordination across sales personnel to strategize customer selling approach, leverage multi-customer efficiencies and expand successful items and platforms across customers
Facilitation of customer requested category reviews/innovation direction that pieces together customer needs, market trends, & corporate objectives and run with items & platforms that are the right fit
Project management experience to manage new item pipeline mentioned above (what’s working/what’s not/identify new opportunities)
Support sales facing communication needs as they relate to pertinent updates from other areas around the business
Support the sell-in needs of innovation initiatives by working with key stake holders internally to understand barriers to “yes” and drive organizational execution
Understanding production and manufacturing capabilities to navigate hurdles to standing up new initiatives that may be outside of our current category, packaging formats, liquids formats etc.
Gathering pertinent cross functional information to help crafting selling messages to build customer excitement and consumer need fulfillment of those initiatives
Monitor, track, and measure performance of new product development/innovation initiatives through the product lifecycle
Keep a pulse on new production introductions in market, meaningful market initiatives and product attribute changes.
Point person working with R&D to understand differences between our products and various competitors
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Education And Experience
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
3-5 years of marketing and/or sales facing marketing experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detailed oriented and can multi-task
Excellent time management skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the food/beverage industry
Proven organizational skills
Ability to direct, coach and train others.
Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
