Candidate Capabilities:
A) Sell directly to public and private school districts, charter schools and organizations, Head Start programs and childcare chains in a given geographic region.
1. Identify sales opportunities using:
Account Executive's existing relationships.
Frog Street's existing relationships.
Frog Street's database of potential customers.
New opportunities identified by any other means.
2. Qualify sales opportunities using historical data and through discussions with key decision-makers.
3. Develop account-specific strategies.
4. Pursue legitimate opportunities.
B) Build and maintain a pipeline in company CRM.
Utilize Salesforce to manage and document activity for all targeted accounts, on a timely basis.
Conduct weekly target reviews with the sales team.
Follow up on leads in a timely manner.
C) At times, conduct post-sale product training for customers in the territory and other strategic accounts assigned to the Account Executive, specifically related to product sales .
D) Participate in conferences, trade shows, and in-services meetings, as needed.
E) Participate in corporate sales meetings and trainings.
F) Participate in developing quarterly and annual sales objectives/business plans for the territory.
G) Gather feedback received from customers related to products, customer service, and relevant intelligence and report to the director of sales on a regular basis.
H) Participate in key activities such as the development of sales and marketing strategies.
I) Perform any other jobs typically done by a salesperson.
This position REQUIRES that the account executive live within the NY/MA/RI territory.
Job Qualifications:
College degree, preferably in early childhood education or elementary education
Minimum of 5 years in sales or in the classroom
Track record of success, preferably in new product introduction
Experience in direct selling to schools, preferably elementary schools
Preferable experience in selling elementary print core products
Self-starter
Competitive
Strong communication skills
Organized
Excellent presentation skills
Computer savvy with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and e-mail suites
Regionally located in the assigned territory
Willing to spend 2-4 days a week traveling in the designated territory
Capable of lifting heavy sample boxes and print resources
