Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing support and solutions to the pro sales customer segment. Works with Account Managers to ensure orders, quotes, credits, and returns are completed in a timely fashion.
Essential Responsibilities
•Strives to drive customer satisfaction to increase the combined overall sales volume.
•Manually hand key stock orders and returns.
•Answers calls from the call center/queue. Provides quotes and confirmations; responds promptly and professionally to customer requests.
•Establishes credibility and respect with the company's pro sales customer base, stakeholders, and others.
•Develops/maintains expertise in an assigned specialty area to support departmental efforts and uses ingenuity to develop new processes.
•Procures pro sales customer order information and enters order information in a timely and accurate fashion.
•Coordinates warehouse and shipping exceptions with Operations.
•Proactively works with Account Managers on all matters, including proper processing of credits/returns, ensuring the paperwork is complete and that the credit/return is accurate.
•Communicates with Purchasing Department regarding large sales and out-of-stock concerns.
•Reports to the Manager regarding market intelligence relating to pricing and customer needs/special requests.
•Provides input for catalogs and price lists.
•Follows established procedures for placing customer orders, servicing customers, adhering to pricing guidelines, and recommending changes when warranted to achieve overall company goals.
•Assists in training new department personnel and demonstrates a high standard of teamwork, professionalism, conduct, and dedication to Novo Building Products' goals.
• Assists with special order process, tracking ETAs, placing special orders, and placing POs.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
•Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a comparable area of study is preferred
•Excellent organizational and communication skills
•Self-confidence and telemarketing skills are essential
•Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
•Effective communication skills, both written and oral (English), and a courteous telephone manner
Preferred Qualifications
•Minimum of three years experience in a building material sales and service environment is desired.
•Basic understanding of the supply chain to the building materials industry is desired
Travel Requirements
•Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area travel and overnight may be expected.
