RESEARCH MANAGER
New Orleans, LA, United States
Reporting to the Center Director, general functions of the incumbent will be targeted at securing grants, implementing grant sponsored research programs, overseeing all aspects of laboratory work, managing lab personnel, writing papers, collaborating with research faculty, and teaching postdocs, graduate students and medical students that are interested in neuroscience research. The incumbent will assist both senior and junior researchers in writing papers and securing funding. Understanding the brain and retina functions, as well as neurodegenerative diseases is a major focus of the Neuroscience Center, and the incumbent will work to ensure that we develop and maintain a robust, effective and coordinated research program in this area.
