About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Marketplace Growth to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a pivotal leader in the company's strategy, with a specific focus on the demand side of their marketplaces. This role involves leading a team of Product Managers and Designers, and close collaboration with engineering delivery teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, commercial environment, and be responsible for owning a product portfolio, defining and driving KPIs, and maintaining a deep understanding of customer behaviors and technology trends. They will be expected to embed a results-focused, commercially driven mindset into the product team and be passionate about delivering impactful solutions for customers. The role requires a leader with a strong understanding of two-sided marketplaces, who can mentor and develop talent, and is adept at rapid experimentation and data-driven decision-making.Candidates for this role at The Company should have a minimum of 12 years' of business experience, ideally in a mid to big-tier tech company, with at least 8 years' in product leadership and management of complex technology products. Practical knowledge of eCommerce, payments, shipping, search, mobile, and/or SEO is essential, as is a proven track record of ROI-driven prioritization. The role demands an individual with outstanding communication skills, the ability to engage and challenge senior executives, and a continuous improvement mentality. The candidate should be innovative, analytical, and have an entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members at all levels. A flexible, open-minded approach and an interest in developing more junior product managers are also key requirements for this position.
