Senior Growth Marketing Manager - CRO

Boston, MA, United States

Who We Are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

The Growth team is looking for an experienced growth marketer with a proven track record in conversion rate optimization. You will be the team's resident expert on opportunity analysis, test design, statistical methods, and user psychology.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on Samsara's growth trajectory. You'll have the opportunity to partner with a talented group of product managers, engineers, and designers to build and launch experiments across the entire acquisition funnel. You'll have full ownership of the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a high velocity of tests and will also serve as the thought leader on experimentation across the team.

This role can be office-based or fully remote in the US, Canada, or Mexico.

You should apply if:

You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.

You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper-growth environment.

You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.

You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-caliber team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will:

Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a high velocity of experimentation across the entire acquisition funnel

Analyze funnel stages to identify key dropoff points and research user behavior to improve customer experience and business outcomes

Design and launch experiments across a variety of channels, including web properties, paid landing pages, lead gen forms, ad platforms, webinars, email, and sales efficiency

Fail fast and often in order to make incremental improvements and unlock step changes that drive additional pipeline and revenue growth

Partner with product, engineering, design, and regional teams to develop defensible hypotheses, size opportunities, measure results, and deploy winning variants

Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

5+ years of experience in an analytical role, with at least 3 years of experience focused on conversion rate optimization

Proven experience delivering on an experimentation roadmap with success stories at multiple funnel stages

Demonstrated ability to launch self-serve experiments through one or more A/B testing platforms

Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams to build and launch complex experiment set ups and measure lower funnel results

Strong communication and project management skills, with a track record of maintaining a high velocity of experimentation

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, finance, or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience, required

An ideal candidate also has:

Deep knowledge of statistical models, how and when to apply them, and alternative methods to measure success when statistical significance is not feasible

Experience executing on an experimentation roadmap at a high growth B2B SaaS company

Deep understanding of user psychology and principles that govern user behavior

Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis language

Experience with Optimizely, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Hotjar, and Salesforce
