Desktop Support Technician

Description:

As a Desktop Support Technician at Synaptics, you will work along side 1 other technical support team member to support the 3 buildings on the San Jose campus. The person they are looking for will be responsible for and must be knowledgeable in the following: • Maintain and document processes in the expanding IT team, adapt and implement both manual and electronic business processes to effectively support the systems and network analysis and administration work. • Perform 1st & 2nd level diagnostics and support for internal employees on campus and remotely (approximately 200 users per bldg. 600 total for SJC campus, some will be onsite remote users); • Provide diagnostics and support for all internal systems including, but not limited to, mobile devices (iOS and Android), Lenovo Computer Systems (laptops and desktops), Tablets, iPads, and all other non-standard lab endpoints; • Expand and modify computer systems in the company’s environment in order to support current versions of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, 7); • Develop, document and maintain system support for the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; • Troubleshoot and maintain Zoom Unified Communication Platform; • Test, Maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems, to improve the overall productivity and efficiency of the internal employees and IT environment. (i.e. Windows 10/ 7, Microsoft Office Suite, Service-Now ticketing system, all other relevant hardware and software systems.)
