Description: Instrumentation and Control Specialist
Candidate will have ownership of the building management (BMS) / facilities monitoring system (FMS), fire and life safety system (FLSS), general controls, and related facilities PLC and single loop controllers.
This person will have ownership of following tasks:
* Fire Systems and Life Safety understanding and troubleshooting* Troubleshooting controls (mechanical and electronic) and managing quality repairs* Implementing P&IDs and Loop Wiring Schematics.* Purchase requests for materials, special services, and projects* Completing written procedures* Owning, initiating and supporting engineering projects* BMS, FMS, PLC, VFD system installations/Programming* Develop project scopes of work to modify building controls to meet requirements.* Prepare plans, schedules, and cost estimates.* Prepare bid documents.* Solicit bids, conduct job walks, receive, and evaluate bids.* Prepare purchase requests, ROI calculations, and executive summaries.* Submit proposals.* Interface with various governmental agencies* Coordinate contractors and city inspections.* Prepare punch lists and ensure contractors complete all work on schedule.
Requirements & Qualifications:
* Technical school degree in controls, or equivalent work experience* Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding the English language.* Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in ACAD, Siemens PPCL, C++, Siemens controllers, Siemens APOGEE, Design, Profinet, Modbus, Bacnet, Excel and Word* Must have good people skills, be self-motivated, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast- paced, dynamic environment.* Must be quality and safety oriented, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.* Must be able to read schematics (mechanical, electronic & electrical)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge and experience with Siemens PLC and TIA portal software* Knowledge and experience with Modbus PLC and Concept software* Various other PLC equipment such Allen Bradley (Rockwell), ABB, GE* ABB VFD programming and troubleshooting.

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $23 to $31.
